2 Corinthians 5:17
Happy New Year. What’s done is done and what will be will be. A new year has begun with new possibilities, new opportunities and new hopes. The problem is like it or not that the new year will also bring new problems, new tragedies and new disappointments. In all likelihood our habits, thoughts and life patterns will roll over into the new year. A change in time does not automatically mean a change in you or me. When we decide to give our lives to Jesus, he changes who we are. He doesn’t expect us to become something we aren’t or can’t but makes us into someone who we couldn’t become ourselves. He makes us new from the inside and we spend our lives working it out. The effect of a happy new you are longer lasting than the happy new year.
