Destiny

I think most of us like to think that we can control our own destiny.  We want to follow our dreams, passions and desires.  We want to plan out our life to suit our financial, relational and recreational goals. Sure, there might be some obstacles that are beyond our control like the actions of others or an unfortunate and untimely health issue but we don’t like to think about or try to plan around those things.  After all we may only have one life and we should make the most of it.  As followers of Jesus, we are challenged to submit our life’s plans to the one who made us, the one who is actually in control of our destiny and knows what is best for us.  He has a plan to mould us and shape us into the person he has planed for us to become.  Wouldn’t you rather live the life you were meant to live?
