Out of control

Change, conflict and uncertainty are certain in this life.  There are some circumstances we can control, some we try to control and many that we can’t.  There are  feelings of powerlessness, hopelessness and fear that come over us when we realise that things are happening to us and around us that we can’t influence or stop.  It is no wonder people turn to alcohol, drugs, porn and even religion to find either consistency or escape.  Each of these things comes with its own dangers and consequences.  As a follower of Jesus we can be certain that with Him beside us and inside us we can handle anything that happens to us or around us.  Not just handle and survive but grow and thrive.  With Jesus we can know joy, love and peace despite our world being turned upside down around us.
