Good, bad, ugly

You will have noticed that people generally only post their highlights on Facebook.  It is rare to see anyone admitting they have had a terrible day, been thinking thoughts they knew they shouldn’t, done something they regret or acknowledge they have made a mistake.  Maybe I am wrong but looking at some people’s pages you would think they live the perfect life.  It can be both disturbing and a relief to know that God sees us ‘warts and all’.  Disturbing in that there are things that we really don’t want anyone to know about.  A relief because we don’t have to pretend to be someone we are not.  The good news is that despite and because He knows us inside out, Jesus came to die for us.  He didn’t come to make you better, he came to make you new.  If you accept his offer of a new life you will no longer have to be ashamed, embarrassed, alarmed by your past or concerned about your future.

  1. From my point of view, when sees us in Christ he sees as we are…in Christ. “This is my Son and I am over the moon about him”. Once we realize how he loves us then we simply live out of that…
