The Story
Ever since death entered the world, humans have longed for peace because of the trouble that started when sin disrupted God’s perfect plan. Whether someone is in the war torn middle east or battling family conflict or worried about their job, facing a health crisis or an uncertain future, peace is something that we all desire.
It’s one thing to wish for the peace that comes when the turmoil stops but what about having a peace in the midst of the trouble. There will always be one kind of trouble or another until Jesus returns or until we die so how about we seek peace in the midst of it. The only peace that transcends everything offered by the world is the one Jesus gives when we put our faith and trust in him.
I felt this song sounded best with a 1970’s folk feel. Fun fact: the line “Why don’t you look into Jesus” was inspired by Larry Norman’s song of the same name. Check it out.
