The Story
Within the first two weeks of me discovering that AI could put my poems to music, I woke one morning and had the start of this song in my head. I could say it came to me, but I think I can confidently say it was given to me because I couldn’t come up with these lyrics on my own in just a few hours.
Based on Romans 7:15-25 the song is a cry for rescue from the allure and attraction of sin. The draw of the flesh and the demands on the mind to go back to the old way of living, thinking and acting. A prayer for those caught in the cycle of sin and addiction who really want to follow Jesus but are struggling with real temptation around every corner.
If we are true to ourselves, to God and those close to us we will admit that we are not perfect and struggle to identify and get rid of some sort of sin in our lives, everyday.
