Joseph reflects on the hardship of his life and recognises it wasn’t about him, after all. I wonder how many of us would view our circumstances differently if we saw the greater good being accomplished – in us, through us and despite us.
The thing is, Joseph saw the greater good as not being his success but in the saving of many lives. Would we see our hardships as Joseph did, or would we take a more self centred approach? Would you prefer you had a life of comfort and ease rather than going through stuff so that others could be better off?
