Genesis 41:16 “I cannot do it…but God will…”
I go into this a bit more in my book Dreams Go Dry but I highlighted this in my Bible in 2006, well before I even considered starting a teaching series on Joseph.
It is so easy to take our gifts, talents, personality, experience, culture, nationality and even DNA make up for granted. We can be proud of who we are and where we come from but there is so much that we had no control or say over.
That is why we can only be humble and acknowledge what God has done and can do in us and through us and despite us.
After all, could it be that we can do nothing and are nothing without even His breath in our lungs?
What credit can we actually take for even a part of who we are and what we do?
Giving God the credit and glory for everything, is probably a good place to start.
