Genesis 8:21c “every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood.”
My granddaughter is only 15 months old and it hasn’t taken long for her to learn the word ‘no’ or to throw a tantrum when she can’t get what she wants. When she is about to do something she has been told not to do, she looks at that person in a defiant manner while she does it.
It seems that we don’t learn how to be rebellious, selfish and to defy authority, it is in our nature. Some try to control it or even hide it, while others let it control them. Either way none of us can claim to be perfect and as a result we all need God’s grace and mercy. That is why He sent Jesus to die in our place.
