Ephesians 6:11
If we take time out to reflect and to contemplate, we soon realise that there is a battle for our attention. In the quietness there are distractions, concerns, worries, dreams, fears, regrets, desires and thoughts of other things we should be doing. These are all things which work together to form our decisions and attitudes often subconsciously. It is not until we realise what is going on inside our minds and our hearts that we can make firstly sense of it and then take action against those things that are leading us down the wrong path. God knows the battle that goes on inside us, he knows the temptations and distractions as well as our good intentions. He has equipped us with the tools and weapons we need to combat everything that comes against goodness and purity. In order for them to work we need to take them up and put them to use. What are they? His Spirit, His Word, His truth, His good news, His salvation, His purity and righteous available to all through and because of Jesus.
