Ephesians 1:7
We like to think that we are in control of our own destiny, the captain of our ship and the pilot of our airplane. That might fine for a very short time until we realise that life is not going so well after making some, well maybe many, poor choices and unwise decisions. We very quickly get to a point where guilt and disappointment outweigh our hope and dreams. The life, death and resurrection of Jesus was about setting us free from the bottomless pit we dug ourselves into. His sacrifice provided a way for all those selfish and Godless thoughts and actions to be forgiven and for us to have a new start. Just like the business with a sign that reads “Under New Ownership” we too get a new start thanks to the love and grace and mercy of our God.
