Genesis 50:20
The movie Now You See Me is about a group of illusionists who rob banks during their performances. We discover in the movie that they key to pulling off a great illusion is to get the audience to look intently and closely at what is happening. As a result of focusing on what the performer is doing now, the audience are tricked into falling for the illusion. The same happens in life. We can be so caught up in what is happening around us and to us that we fall for the illusion of now. Having a big picture view of life helps us to navigate the difficulties and disappointments that we experience. Having a view that our God is working behind the scenes to orchestrate his purposes for our life and for His kingdom helps us not get caught up in the illusion that this life is all about us and our comfort and our pleasure.
