Colossians 4:6
What we talk about and how we talk about others reveals a lot about who we are and what we believe. Many of us are satisfied to discuss superficial facts, tasteless gossip and general information. When it comes to expressing gratitude, sharing feelings and discussing the deep and meaningful things of life most people seem to put up defensive barriers. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be known for our tasteful conversation. I believe this points to being open, honest, real and reflective of the hope, joy, love and peace that we have been given. It is unfortunate that many seem to ignore this, or are ignorant of it, as it is often difficult to identify a follower of Jesus simply by their conversation.
