2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Bible is a big book full of stories, poems, proverbs, parables biographies, letters and more. Most of it is easy to read and understand while some parts are difficult to make sense of. The Bible points people to God and helps those who decide to serve and follow Jesus. There are those who try to discredit it, those who use it to manipulate others and then there are those who treasure it. It was not written to be a political manual but to be a personal guide. It was not written to be a rule book but as a means of deepening a relationship with God. The whole book points forward to Jesus or looks back to Jesus. It is meant to be studied; it is meant to be absorbed, and it is meant to help change lives for the better.
