If we stop and reflect on the achievements of humanity since the beginning of time it really is incredible. From the first fire lighting to the discovery of the uses of different metals then the ability to find ways to cut and shape wood and other materials. The complexity of generating meaningful and beautiful music from all sorts of weird and wonderful instruments. The ability to build structures of all shapes and sizes and to communicate across large distances. Who would have thought that plastic comes from oil? We have invented machines for all types of purposes ranging from just going acros town to exploring the heights and depths of the universe. The imagination and ingenuity of humanity cannot be by chance or limited to this lifetime. What a waste it would be if we simply lived then died to be no more. Our dreams and desires for more must come from an internal realisation that this world is not all it should be and that there must be something better. We need to choose where we want to spend that eternity and we have been given that choice.
