“Actions speak louder than words.” None of us are impressed when we are promised something and it never happens. None of us are happy when we are told we are important or valued but are treated like second class citizens. None of us like being told we are loved but never get to feel the love. Truth is only realised when what is promised is put into practise. Empty words soon reveal the heart of a person. Unfortunately, there are many who treat God the way we don’t like to be treated. We say that we think highly of Him and even proclaim on Sunday that we love Him but our actions do not match our words. This is not about accidental mistakes or lapses in judgement but deliberately not even trying to fulfil our promises to not only God but to others.
