I have read that humans are the only species on this earth that ask themselves ‘Why are we here?’ It is this question that leads to endeavours great and small. It is what drives people to invent, strive for more, to read, to learn, to grow and to become better. The question can, however, also lead to depression and despondency when we feel that we haven’t found our purpose or we feel that we have nothing to offer. As followers of Jesus we believe that each person is unique, has extreme value and while now imperfect, was individually created by God for a purpose. While some search their whole life for this purpose and spend more time looking than doing, it is really quite simple. We were created to do good works. Imagine what this world would be like if we all fulfilled our purpose and did only what was good.
