Doing the right thing can seem a lot harder than doing the wrong thing. Doing good things can be hard work with what seems to be very little reward, recognition or results. Many times it even costs or hurts us to do what we know is right. It is far easier to go with the flow and to row down stream just like everyone else. It is tiring doing good, we can often feel unappreciated when doing good and we often wonder if it is worth it. We are asked by Jesus to do good because he knows it is not only good for us but more importantly it shows others how good He is. He works through our good works and our good words to work in the lives of those around us. Our role is simply to do good and to leave the rest up to His plan and His timing.
