Flow on effect

Have you noticed how children generally take after their parents?  As much as we want more for them they will more often than not follow in our footsteps.  Sure they might take up different careers or live in different places but their outlook on life, habits and values are caught from those closest to them – usually their parents.  I have noticed many parents who live different lives at work than they do at home and it is difficult to pick which is the real persona.  One thing is for sure, it is impossible to fool kids and they will generally take after the real you whether you try and hide it or not.  Deciding to live a consistent life and choosing to make good choices naturally and normally flows on to making a better life for your kids.  It really is true that values and habits are caught more effectively that taught.
