Who is using who? 

For many God is someone who is kept in their pocket for a rainy day.  He is a good luck charm or get out of jail free card and even a life insurance policy.  These people might think about God when they are in trouble, needing help or wanting something they can’t get themselves.  They might pray so they can win the big game or get a new job.  If we think about it, isn’t that just using God for our own purposes? He is much bigger than that.  To receive all that he has for us it is better that we ask Him what His purposes are and pursue those.
