Exposure

The cover of darkness, the secrecy of closed doors and the hiding away of incriminating evidence all point to suspicious, devious and dishonest deeds.  Even though it seems there are now more brazen activities occurring during the day, darkness in many places brings with it an increase in fear because underhanded and criminal activity uses the blackness as protection.  To be exposed in the light would mean that they could get caught, sentenced and punished.  None of us want to be caught let alone in some way sentenced and punished for those embarrassing and painful skeletons we hide in the dark, closed door closet of our past or even present.  Things often seem worse in the dark, scarier in the dark and never ending.  We were not made to live in the dark.  Light might be hard to take for a while after living a long time in darkness but light brings life, warmth, truth, strength and security.
