Spooky

There is a facination with the supernatural which is made evident by the popularity of movies and TV series like Ghost, Ghostbusters, Ghost Whisperer, Poltergeist, Medium and even Casper, Scooby Doo and A Christmas Carol.  I wonder if the attraction would be as great if people realised that what is shown as fiction is more real and yet often more subtle than portrayed in books and on the screen.  I wonder how people would feel if they knew they were lied to, distracted and deluded by evil supernatural beings and dark forces.  I wonder how people would feel if they were able to be aware that these things were preventing them from knowing the truth about life, love and the light of God.  Fortunately we can gain comfort from knowing that Jesus is greater and more powerful than all the evil and darkness combined.
