Battlefield

Life does seem like a battle sometimes.  There is often if not always someone or something that comes against us to oppose our comfort, confidence, freedom and faith. When we find ourselves in these situations they can appear to be more than we can handle and can threaten our very lives at times.  Being overcome and overwhelmed with the challenges of life can be a lonely experience and we can feel completely powerless.  Not many of us will experience hardships like the early church leader Paul.  He went through what we would call terrible misfortune because of his faith in Jesus.  Despite the pain, persecution, prolonged imprisonment and other hardships he was able to write the words in the picture below.  How often do we remind ourselves that despite what things look like now – we are actually on the winning team.  One of my favourite songs at the moment is We Win recently released by Mercy Me.  Check it out on YouTube https://youtu.be/UQvXQmtgCc4
