We can get so used to our life, job, and relationships that we can quite easily become complacent. We work hard at getting to where we are and getting what we have but after a while we tend to become so used to these things that we fail to not only appreciate them but neglect to recognise when they might be slipping away from us. When we stop working at our life, our job and our relationships it is easy for distractions and temptations to come in and begin to chip away at undermining what we value. The same happens in our relationship with Jesus. If we neglect his commands and begin to ignore his requests we slowly drift from the closeness we once felt and soon start to question our faith. It is amazing how real, how close and how easy to find Jesus is when we live life like he wants us to.

I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands.
