The supernatural world both facinates and scares people from all different walks of life. Whether it be ghosts or angels or demons or God the other world is a mystery which some people explore while others ignore. For too long the church ignored and even denied the supernatural or spiritual aspect of life and replaced it with tradition, knowledge, rules and religion. The early writing’s of the church make it clear that there are both good and evil forces at work in the world. Not only that but those forces are at work in and around us. Those who follow Jesus and have given their lives to him are promised and experience the very Spirit of God inside of them. That may sound strange and a little creepy unless you know that the Spirit is characterised by love, joy and peace with the added bonus of the assurance that when we leave this earth our future is forever.
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
