I am all for respecting people regardless of their views, beliefs, opinions, religious convictons and ideologies. I don’t think we achieve anything by alienating, aggrevating or belittling people for having different ideas about life – except when other’s are hurt by them. We live in a world full of different political, social and religious diversity but the truth is not everybody can be right. It is impossible for everyone to be right about there being one God or many gods. Think about it before commenting. How many gods can there actually be? How many ways can those different gods be appeased? How can one God have different characters or different requirements. It is impractical to think that we all worship the same god but in different ways. As followers of Jesus we claim there is one God and one way to be reconciled with him. Unfortunately we have more often than not made that claim without love and without respecting or valuing other people’s experience, culture and background.

For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself to redeem everyone. That was the proof at the right time that God wants everyone to be saved,
